At the Academic Institute, Inc. we specialize in
providing individualized education in a small group or one-on-one
setting.
We strive to create a nurturing college preparatory environment where
all sorts of students can grow to their full potential.
Whether your student has learning
disabilities or simply does not fit the large school mold, we ensure
that he or she is ready for the rigors of college; from study skills to
term papers, we prepare them for academic life.
HIGH SCHOOL: The Academic Institute, Inc.
is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools, Colleges and
Universities, as well as the Washington State Board of Education; we
have also been approved by the NCAA Clearinghouse.
Students can attend full time or part time, during the regular
school year or summer, including honors curriculum; no matter what, the
student to teacher ratio is never more than 7:1.
Many of our students split their time between mainstream schools
and TAI, Inc.; many others work with us online or through their home
school programs. We can also
work with students to replace grades and missing credits.
TUTORING: Our highly capable
staff can also work with students to support their school curriculum or
provide enrichment. We also
provide PSAT, SAT I and II, ACT, ISEE, AP, and other standardized test
preparation. We tailor our
tutoring to the needs of each student, using the student’s individual
strengths to shore up individual weaknesses.
COLLEGE COUNSELING:
The college application journey is a harrowing one; we can help you
navigate it. We use a
specialized Myers-Briggs personality test and individual consultation to
help you develop a list of schools that might fit your needs and goals,
and we can guide you through the application and decision-making
process.
